As part of our Green Flag initiative we are exploring the theme of 'Water' again this year. With this in mind the Green Flag Committee wished to acknowledge "World River's Day" which was last Sunday September 24th. Three members of the committee gave a talk in each classroom highlighting the importance of rivers in our country and the need for all of us to work together towards their protection. Each class followed this up with lovely art work based on rivers. The senior classes also enjoyed a wonderful day earlier in the month visiting and exploring our local "Blackwater River". In the words of Mark Angelo "Rivers are the arteries of our planet, they are lifelines in the truest sense".
